• NOTE: I've taken the liberty to add additional letters from our modern day alphabet, however, some letters we use today were not in the egyptian alphabet and therefore, would not have been used in the spelling of your name.

  • In addition to the above, the following are also used in egyptian hieroglyphics, as prefixes, suffixes, alternate glyphs for the same letter and gender:


    - Male glyph shown at the end of the name to indicate gender.


    - Female glyph shown at the end of the name to indicate gender.


    - Sh and Ch and Kh letter combos.


    - Additional glyphs for A, H and Y.


    - Additional glyphs for C and X.


    - The entire name, along with the gender indication, would be encased in a cartouche, particularly if the subject was royalty.
